I've been to this location multiple times and I'm always impressed! We've adopted Courtenay as our favorite server, she's very friendly and knowledgeable! However, we've had great experiences with all of the staff. We've had many dishes but only have a picture of the chicken nachos which were very delicious! I'd also recommend the country fried steak, nashville hot chicken sandwich, breaded pickles and their bloody Mary's are delicious! Definitely give this place a try!

Jenny A was our waitress and was nothing short of amazing! The food was on point and the staff and atmosphere was excellent! The owner Tim really cares about the customers and it shows! Highly recommend!

Went to mullets for a relaxing day on the rooftop with my dad since his birthday is tomorrow 6/3. Our waitress Ella went over and Beyond!! She was fun, responsive and funny! She even went out of her way at the end of her shift to make my dad a little birthday card with what she could after offering us free dessert. She 100% made my dad’s day and she let us know we made hers. She was absolutely amazing.

I recently hosted a gathering at Mullets in Uptown Ankeny to celebrate my wife’s last chemotherapy session, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the experience. Kenna and the staff went above and beyond with exceptional service, making our event feel extra special. The food was outstanding and the prices were incredibly affordable. The portions are generous, the flavors are bold, and the atmosphere is laid-back and fun—exactly what you want from a hometown favorite. Today my wife Pam and I attended my Ankeny Class of 1968 monthly luncheon. This month we met at Mullets in Ankeny. I ordered the Cajun Po Boy Sandwich (pictured) along with a side of onion rings. My sandwich was generous, filling and delicious, to say the very least, as was my side of onion rings. The Cajun Po Boy was filled with fried Sea Scallops and Shrimp along with an abundance of lettuce, pickles and tomatoes. Pam ordered the Bacon Chicken Ranch sandwich, not pictured, she was exceedingly pleased with the chicken, very tender and tasty, a really nice cut of chicken, perfectly prepared. Our server did a wonderful job of taking care of us. After our orders were taken the food started arriving much faster than I expected. This is fun, I very much look forward to meeting and visiting with my high school classmates while enjoying a delicious meal.

What a fun experience for a date. I am not a fan of mullets as a style, but will be returning to try something new as it was hard to decide what to order. The food choices were creative and what we ordered was so good. My dish was a little dry at first but I asked for more cheese and they were happy to get me some. The staff was fantastic. Next time I hope to sit out on the balcony at the Des Moines location.
